Q: What questions should I ask a potential therapist?
A:
There are some basic questions you should ask. Here are a few:
Do you have openings? How long is the wait? Are you licensed? How long have you been practicing?
How long is a session? What is your theoretical background? Do you take insurance? These question will get you started off
in the right direction?
Q: What
do I need to bring for the first session?
A:Typically
you will need to bring your insurance card. You will be expected to fill out some initial paperwork so arriving there
a little early will ensure that you will be able to spend more time "in session." It is also helpful if you
have spent some time thinking about what your gaols are or what you would like to accomplish in therapy.
Q: What are your fees?
A: Our fee is $105 per hour. We are able to bill most insurances
and will do that for you. We do take Medicare and Medicaid. We do have a sliding scale fee based on your income.
